Welcome to Sophomore Year!

Somehow the entire summer evaporated. Emily spent almost three months in Minnesota, volunteering at a hospital. She did really well and seemed to enjoy it. She also spent two weeks at French camp. She was neutral on the experience, but also feels like it put her well ahead of the other kids in her French class.

1st day of school
Speaking of classes, yesterday was the first day of the new school year. This means moving campuses, as they keep 9th grade at one campus and 10th - 12th grades at a different campus. She was a little nervous about navigating a new building with 3,000 other students, but it turned out to be no problem at all.

Close up
She has a full schedule this year with Honors Chemistry, AP World History, AP Psychology, Honors Algebra II, Honors French II, Honors English II, Medical Terminology, and Honors Art II. So far, there hasn't been much homework, but I'm sure that will change quickly. Lucky that there isn't much assigned because I picked her up this afternoon and she looked exhausted. It takes a little time to get back into the swing of things, and I am sure she is already looking forward to the weekend!
